CitrusX (styled Citrusˣ) is an AI validation and explainability platform founded in 2021 by CEO Noa Srebrnik and CTO Gilad Manor in Tel Aviv. The company spent roughly two years building in stealth before launching publicly in December 2023 with $4.5 million in seed funding.
The platform explains a model's decisions at three levels, the whole model, individual predictions, and specific clusters or demographic groups, in terms non-technical stakeholders can read, while also running continuous bias detection and drift monitoring that alerts teams when a live model starts behaving differently than it did in testing. CitrusX reports outperforming standard explainability benchmarks like SHAP and LIME in its own internal testing, and ties its outputs to compliance documentation for frameworks like the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001.
The company targets publicly listed companies in regulated industries, finance, insurance, and healthcare among them, that need to document how their AI models reach decisions for regulators or auditors, not individual developers. Pricing isn't published; CitrusX sells through a demo-first enterprise process.
