Crosshatch was co-founded in 2023 in Miami by Soren Larson and Jesse Halpern, who set out to close what they describe as a widening gap between personalized digital experiences and consumer control over the data behind them. The company launched its public beta in late 2024 backed by a $2.7 million round led by Village Global, with Adobe chief strategy officer Scott Belsky and OpenStore co-founder Michael Rubenstein joining as angels.
Developers drop Crosshatch Link into an app with a few lines of code to tap a shared identity layer: users opt into sharing specific context (purchase history, preferences, behavior) once, and any connected app can draw on that same profile to personalize recommendations, messaging, or UX without each company rebuilding its own data pipeline. The pitch is privacy-forward by design, users see and control what gets shared rather than having it collected passively.
Aimed at product and engineering teams building consumer apps that want personalization without standing up their own data infrastructure or running afoul of privacy regulation. Crosshatch has not published self-serve pricing; access runs through a request-based onboarding process with terms set per integration.
