Seenapse is an ideation tool built around what it calls a Divergence Engine, designed to generate unusual ideas rather than good ones – explicitly positioned against the output of general chat models.
The premise identifies a real limitation. Language models are optimised toward the likely continuation, which is precisely the wrong objective for creative work: an idea everyone would have reached anyway is worthless in a category where distinctiveness is the entire product. Building deliberately for divergence rather than plausibility is a genuinely different design goal, and a defensible one for advertising and creative teams.
Seenapse claims it produces more original ideas than ChatGPT and says it ran a study to establish that – ask for the methodology, since originality is notoriously hard to measure and the claim is central to the product. Expect a lower hit rate by design too: a tool tuned for divergence produces more unusable ideas alongside the interesting ones, and sifting them is the work you keep.
