ACE Studio comes from Timedomain, a company founded in 2019 by Joe Guo and built around AI-driven vocal synthesis for musicians and producers. The company is based in Beijing, operating internationally through Timedomain and ACCIDENTAL AI PTE. LTD, and reached version 2.0 in December 2025 as a complete AI music workstation rather than a single-purpose vocal tool.
Producers input MIDI notes and lyrics, and ACE Studio renders a sung vocal performance using any of its 140-plus royalty-free AI voice models across eight languages, with tools for choir layering, voice cloning, and vocal-to-MIDI conversion for pulling melodies back out of recorded audio. Version 2.0 added AI instruments and a stem splitter, extending the product from a vocal synthesizer into a broader production workspace built around the same MIDI-in, audio-out workflow.
ACE Studio suits composers, indie musicians, and content creators who need studio-quality vocals without booking singers, and the company markets that Grammy-winning producers have used it in place of session vocalists. A free plan covers one user, one project, and 100MB of storage; the paid Artist plan starts around $16.58/month billed annually (or roughly $20.73 month-to-month), with an Artist Pro tier near $22/month adding more voice-cloning slots, and both subscription tiers convert to a permanent lifetime license after two years of payment.
