Pooks asks what you are trying to learn and why, then generates a complete non-fiction book around those answers, with a generated cover, in PDF and EPUB, and optionally as an M4B or MP3 audiobook. Twelve categories are covered, from fitness and travel to marketing and cookbooks, in ten languages.
Personalisation is the argument and it is a fair one for practical non-fiction. A general book on strength training addresses everyone and therefore nobody, while a reader with a specific goal and a specific starting point skips most of it. A book written to that reader’s situation wastes less of their time.
A free sample arrives in 5 to 10 minutes and a full ebook in 15 to 30, at $10 for the ebook or $20 with the audiobook. It comes from Archieboy Holdings, which has published books since 2011. Generated non-fiction carries no author expertise behind its claims, nothing in it has been fact-checked by a person, and for anything with health or financial consequences that matters a great deal.
