ReStage generates lifestyle imagery for furniture brands – taking a product shot and placing it in a styled room scene suitable for catalogues, advertising and product launches.
Furniture is a well-chosen niche because of what the photography actually costs. A sofa cannot be shot on a white background and sold on context alone: buyers need to see it in a room, which means building a set, sourcing props and physically moving heavy furniture into it – per product, per colourway, per season. It is one of the few categories where the logistics, not the camera, are the expense.
Templates keep scenes consistent across a range, which matters more for a catalogue than any single striking image. The constraint to respect is accuracy: generated scenes must not misrepresent scale, finish or colour, since a customer judging a sofa from a render and receiving something different is a returns problem and, depending on jurisdiction, a misleading advertising one.
