Removing the account is the whole design and it is a real insight. Most reading tools ask you to adopt a system – install an app, build a library, maintain a queue – and the queue then becomes another thing you feel behind on. Email already works everywhere, on every device, with no onboarding, and a summary that lands in the inbox needs no separate place to be checked.
The ten-minute turnaround is honest about what it is for: this is not for deciding whether to read something now, it is for triaging things you have been meaning to get to. Anything behind a paywall or requiring a login will not be reachable, and a summary of a piece whose value is in its argument or prose is worth less than the piece.
