Otera, previously known as DeepOpinion, builds AI agents that carry out regulated, mission-critical business processes rather than only assist a human doing them. The company frames its platform around three pillars: autonomy, through a multi-agent reasoning architecture the site says reaches more than 90% straight-through processing; control, through decision-level audit trails and field-level confidence scoring built for regulated industries; and velocity, deploying without a full system overhaul or large amounts of training data. Named customers include Allianz Partners, the insurer CED and Siemens, and the site quotes CED processing 600,000 cases a year in a fraction of the previous time and Allianz Partners linking faster service to a measured rise in customer satisfaction. CEO François Goffinet appears in a video on the homepage discussing the shift from augmentation to autonomy.
Handing a regulated process to an autonomous agent raises the bar for evidence, and Otera’s own answer is the audit trail: every decision is meant to be traceable, with confidence scores at the field level so a human reviewer can find what to check first rather than re-checking everything. The company states SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, DORA, HIPAA and EU AI Act alignment, alongside customer-isolated tenancy on major cloud providers, though none of that is independently verified here. The site cites coverage from Gartner, Forrester and IDC as third-party recognition, which is a stronger signal than a self-reported customer count, but a prospective buyer should still ask for the audit and compliance documentation directly rather than relying on the marketing summary.
Pricing is not published. Otera sells to enterprise insurance and financial-services customers through a direct sales process, with a demo request rather than a self-serve sign-up.
