AIimag.es is a free Windows program, built by Sunija, a Munich-based game developer, to make text-to-image generation installable and usable without a cloud account. A user downloads and unpacks the program, then types a description and generates images on their own PC using Stable Diffusion, built on the lstein Stable Diffusion implementation, with the app itself built in the free version of the Unity game engine. The source code is published on GitHub under the MIT licence, so the whole generation pipeline can be inspected rather than trusted as a black box.
Running locally needs real hardware: the stated requirements are Windows 10, an Nvidia 10, 20 or 30 series graphics card and 12 GB of free disk space, with no mention of newer 40-series or 50-series cards, which suggests the project has not been updated to reflect current GPU generations. The installation path must not contain a space, a rough edge typical of a small, community-maintained tool rather than a polished commercial product, and a Share with Friends feature was still marked as coming in the version reviewed. As with any local Stable Diffusion tool, responsible use of the generated images is left entirely to the person running it, with no hosted moderation layer in between.
The program is free, released as open source under the MIT licence, with no account, subscription or payment found anywhere on the pages reviewed.
