Lockchain.ai launched in April 2024 as a risk management platform for blockchain assets, founded by security-industry veterans Andrew Howard (former CEO of Kudelski Security), Aidan Kehoe (former CEO of Skout Cybersecurity), and Matt Higgins (co-founder and CEO of RSE Ventures). The platform gives traders, investors, and fund managers continuous visibility into portfolio risk across the crypto ecosystem.
The product aggregates on-chain data with open-source intelligence to flag risk events ahead of time, verifying that assets sit where an exchange says they do and monitoring wallets across more than 25 blockchains including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon, and Tron. When something looks wrong, Lockchain pushes a notification through email, Slack, or Telegram explaining the specific risk event rather than leaving a team to dig through block explorers manually.
Lockchain.ai is built for institutional-scale users: the company states its recommendations already sit behind portfolios worth more than $2 billion in aggregate. Pricing isn't published and requires contacting the sales team; the company closed a $5 million Series A in February 2025 led by White Star Capital, with participation from Lerer Hippeau, Arrington Capital, and Sonic Boom Ventures.
