Swapface is face-swap software with three modes. Live Face Swap changes a face in real time for streams and video calls, image modes swap a single face, several faces or the whole head in a photo, and video and GIF modes replace faces in clips. The desktop app for Windows 10 or 11 and Apple-silicon Macs runs on the user’s own machine, which the site says keeps data local and private, and it asks for a strong PC: an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or 3060 class card with 6 GB of video memory, 16 GB of RAM and 10 GB of storage. The site lists uses such as marketing videos, memes and GIFs, film and creative content, social videos and character transformation.
Face swapping, and live swapping in particular, can be used for impersonation and fraud, so the safeguards matter. The usage policy says users must hold all necessary rights, permissions and consents for any face or media they upload, and it bans sexual or non-consensual intimate content, anything depicting minors, impersonating a real person without their explicit, verifiable consent, fraud, harassment, deceptive misinformation and infringement. The vendor says it uses automated and human moderation and can suspend accounts. Against that, free-tier output carries a watermark but paid plans remove it, no output labelling or age verification is described, and because the app runs locally the policy is contractual rather than technically enforced. The pages reviewed name no company, and the contact address is a Gmail account, with Discord and Telegram communities.
Free costs $0, with a watermark, 10 face uploads a day for each of image, video and stream, and 10 image and 10 video swaps a day. Pay as you go starts at $49 for 100 credits, with no watermark, one credit per image swap and four per video swap, and it does not cover live streaming. Pro is $39 a month, $99 a quarter or $299 a year, with 50 image and 50 video swaps a day, unlimited live swaps in fast mode and no watermark. Advance is $69 a month or $499 a year with 100 swaps a day, and Enterprise is $249 a month or $999 a year with 300 swaps a day and all live modes. The starting price shown is the Pro monthly rate, the cheapest plan that includes live swapping.
