JetBrains Air is an agentic development environment built to run more than one coding agent at a time. Codex, Claude Agent, Gemini CLI and JetBrains’ own Junie each execute independent task loops, isolated so that one agent’s work does not collide with another’s.
That isolation is the point of the product. Running several agents against one repository normally means they overwrite each other, and Air’s pitch is that a developer can hand out parallel work and keep an approval step rather than supervising each loop directly.
It comes from JetBrains, the vendor behind IntelliJ IDEA and the separately listed Junie agent. Pricing is not published, so cost needs a sales conversation, and the product is new enough that there is little public record of how it holds up on large codebases.
