Emdash is an open-source agentic development environment that sits above the coding agent you already use rather than replacing it. Claude Code, Codex, Amp and Antigravity all run inside it, and the project is explicit that there is no lock-in to any one of them.
The core workflow is parallelism: several agents run at once on separate tasks instead of one agent being babysat through a queue. Around that sit scheduled repeat work, a built-in browser for previewing the app an agent is changing, and one place to manage prompts, skills and MCP tools across every agent. Issues can be passed straight to agents from Linear, Jira, GitHub, Notion and Asana, so work arrives from the tracker a team already uses.
It is a downloadable desktop application for macOS, Windows and Linux, backed by Y Combinator (W26), with Cloud and Enterprise tiers advertised alongside the free open-source build. The project reports over 1M downloads and runs an active Discord community.
