Genie handles inventory for Shopify merchants, extending past stock counts into purchase orders, supplier records and reporting. Shopify tells a merchant what sold; it does not manage the reordering decisions that follow, which is where most growing stores start improvising in spreadsheets.
Building for one platform rather than every commerce system means the integration is not the weak point, which is the usual complaint about general inventory software bolted onto a store.
There is a trial. It is useless to anyone not on Shopify, pricing tiers are not detailed publicly, and the product name is generic enough to be hard to search for.
