Tripo generates 3D assets from text, an image or a sketch, then finishes them: intelligent segmentation splits a complex model into editable parts, AI texturing produces 4K PBR-ready materials with a Magic Brush for local repainting, and automatic rigging and animation make the result usable rather than decorative.
Segmentation into parts is the underrated one. A generated model arriving as a single fused mesh cannot have its door opened, its wheel turned or its lid removed, which rules it out of most game and product work; splitting it into components is what makes it an asset instead of a sculpture. Plugins for Blender, Unity and Unreal put it in the pipeline directly.
It reports 6.5 million creators and 100 million models, with a free trial through Tripo Studio in the browser but no published pricing. Generated topology still needs cleanup for hero assets, PBR texture quality varies with the input, and automatic rigging works best on humanoid and conventional forms.
