Kasisto sells AI agents and assistants to banks, credit unions and other financial institutions. Its KAI Platform is a conversational AI platform for customers, members and employees. KAI Consumer Banking supplies customer-facing AI agents, in English and Spanish, that handle account queries and money management. KAI Answers gives staff answers from an institution’s own knowledge repositories, with source citing, powered by KAI-GPT, a large language model the company describes as purpose-built for banking. The homepage now leads with KAIgentic, its agentic AI offering for proactive customer engagement and compliance, and also lists KAIops for operations.
Backbase announced on 23 June 2026 that it had acquired Kasisto. The press release says Kasisto’s agentic platform, financial-services intelligence and New York team now form part of Backbase’s AI-native Banking OS, and that the combined agentic banking suite is available through the Banking OS to all current and future customers. Kasisto’s own site still sells the KAI products under the Kasisto name and shows the acquisition banner, but the packaging and naming may change as the integration proceeds, so confirm what is on offer before buying. Coverage of the deal cites Absa and Nedbank in Africa as deployments; the product pages name no customers.
There is no public pricing, and the site directs buyers to request a demo. The pages reviewed publish no benchmarks, security certifications or compliance attestations, which regulated buyers will need to request. The company frames its models as built for banking governance rather than general-purpose assistants; treat that as a vendor claim and ask for evaluation results on your own use cases.
