Cutroom is a web video editor controlled by conversation. A user uploads footage and describes the cut, such as a 40-second founder story with filler words removed, and the agent inspects the video and writes an edit plan before anything is rendered.
The plan lists the cuts, captions and overlays, for example twelve word-aligned cuts with 80 ms handles and a light colour grade, and the site states the agent never renders a plan that has not been approved. The pipeline covers a word-level transcript, filler and silence removal, burned-in captions, colour and audio polish, and motion overlays.
New accounts get free credits without a card, and the site says credits from a failed render are returned. Paid plans are Lite, Pro and Ultra, each priced monthly or yearly, aimed at weekly publishing and production teams.
It is aimed at creators and small teams who publish talking-head, product and short vertical clips and want the rough cut done for them. People who prefer frame-by-frame control of a timeline may find the chat-first approach restrictive, though the approval step gives a chance to review each plan.
