Gista is a chatbot that sits on a company’s website and does the job of a lead generation form. A visitor asks questions and gets answers about the business, and during the conversation the agent asks for details such as name, email and company. It is made by Dot Product AI, Inc., and the homepage states that it is powered by OpenAI.
Setup starts from a URL. The site owner pastes a web address, Gista crawls it, the owner picks the pages that matter and previews a demo chatbot before signing up. The agent can be trained further on uploaded files in PDF, CSV or other text formats, and custom instructions set its tone and style. The company says the chatbot speaks 80 languages. The chat widget has a translucent design with a dark mode, and plans separate ordinary messages from a smaller allowance of advanced messages.
A Free plan costs $0 with 10 messages a day, one chatbot and two 10 MB data sources. On the US pricing page Bronze is $19 a month for 2,000 messages, Silver is $59 a month for 6,000 messages and three chatbots, and Gold is $199 a month for 20,000 messages. Annual billing is also available.
