Automaited automates document-heavy back-office work, order processing, invoice handling, and similar repetitive workflows, through an AI assistant called Ada that reads and acts on unstructured documents without a team having to hand-code rules for every format. The German company, originally named aiConomix, was founded in 2020 by RWTH Aachen University graduates Eric Marre, Alex Schwabauer, and Denis Golovin, and is based in Cologne.
Where traditional robotic process automation (RPA) breaks when a document layout changes, Automaited's approach leans on AI to interpret unstructured or inconsistent documents directly, aiming to hold up better against the volume spikes and format variation that trip up rule-based automation. The company raised roughly EUR 4 million in a May 2022 seed round backed by Headline and Northzone, after a pre-seed round the year before.
Mid-size and enterprise operations teams handling high document volume, order processing, procurement, logistics, are the target buyers rather than solo users or small teams. Automaited does not publish self-service pricing; enterprise RPA deals in this category commonly run in the tens of thousands of dollars per year, but a firm quote requires contacting the sales team directly.
