AskBrian, built by Munich-area company AskBrian GmbH since 2018, is a multi-skill digital assistant aimed at consultants and business professionals rather than a single-purpose chatbot. Its 30-plus skills cover tasks such as translating PowerPoint, Word and PDF files across 100 languages while keeping the original formatting, pulling a financial profile of a public company into a structured Excel file with more than 1,000 data points, summarising PDFs, PowerPoint files, web pages and YouTube videos, and sourcing icons, flags and slide templates for a deck. Brian works through email or a Microsoft Teams integration rather than requiring a separate app, and the company names client organisations including Bain & Company, Oliver Wyman, Siemens Management Consulting and Allianz Consulting among its users.
AskBrian is built around management-consulting workflows specifically, so a business outside that world may find some of its 30-plus skills less relevant than a general-purpose assistant. Brian states its handling is GDPR compliant and backed by a published privacy policy, but any AI-generated financial research or translated document should still get a human review before it reaches a client, since automated research and translation can still misread context or a source document’s nuance.
Brian GenAI is free, with core functionality for an individual user and limited customisation. Brian Pro runs $54.99 a month with fuller AI capability and team integration. Brian Translate+ and Brian Business are both sold on contact-for-pricing terms aimed at dedicated translation volume and larger teams. An individual can register for a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and a company can book a live demo tailored to its own workflows instead.
