BetterPrompt takes a short, plain description such as “cyberpunk city” and expands it into a longer, more descriptive Midjourney-ready prompt with added style, lighting, color and composition details, letting a user get a stronger image result without knowing prompt-engineering conventions themselves. It supports input in 100 languages, so a non-English speaker can describe an idea in their own language and still get a well-formed English prompt out. The tool is a small side project made by two credited developers, lvwzhen and matt, both with public GitHub and social accounts rather than an anonymous operation.
BetterPrompt only rewrites and expands a prompt; it does not generate the image itself, so a user still needs their own Midjourney (or similar) account and credits to render the result. As a two-person side project, the tool’s roadmap and long-term support depend on its makers’ continued interest rather than a funded company.
The tool is usable for free with a starting credit balance, and additional credits can be purchased through an in-app upgrade option; an exact top-up price was not published on the page itself.
