Bubio combines three things around AI characters: creating them, chatting with them, and building webtoons. A Discover feed shows what others have made, Viral Preset turns an uploaded photo into a stylised cinematic image in one click, and the gallery runs to anime, fantasy, cyberpunk and action illustration. The webtoon strand is the least common of the three and points at vertical-scroll comics rather than single images.
Webtoons are the interesting part. The format has a large and growing readership, the production bottleneck is drawing hundreds of panels with a consistent cast, and a platform that already maintains characters for chat has the right underlying capability pointed at the right problem. Combining character definition with sequential art is a more coherent product than either alone.
Two cautions. Character chat platforms tend toward companion use over time whatever their launch framing, and this one publishes no content policy, no age gating and no company details on the page – the gallery observed for this review was unobjectionable, but nothing is stated about what happens when it is not. And ‘Viral Preset’ is a trend-chasing framing that dates quickly: one-click cinematic styling is the most copied feature in this category and looks like whatever was popular the month it shipped.
