Dreamwave is an AI headshot generator built by a San Francisco-based team with prior AI experience at OpenAI, DeepMind, MIT, Meta, and SpaceX. The company launched in 2023 and says it has generated more than 25 million headshots since.
Users upload eight or more selfies, and Dreamwave trains a personalized model to output a gallery of studio-style headshots across a chosen set of outfits and backdrops, aiming to avoid the plastic, over-smoothed look common to earlier AI headshot tools. The platform also includes a team headshot option so companies can generate a consistent set of staff photos in one batch.
Dreamwave suits professionals who need a LinkedIn or corporate headshot without booking a photographer, as well as companies standardizing headshots across a team. There is no free plan; the Starter package costs $35 for 75 photos, Standard costs $59 for 150 photos with one free redo, and Premium costs $99 for 300 photos with unlimited human touch-ups.
