ATS parsing is where good applications die invisibly. A well-written resume in a two-column template with graphics can be reduced to unreadable fragments by the parser, and the candidate never learns why they heard nothing. Checking machine readability before submission addresses a failure mode most applicants do not know exists.
The review side gives content feedback alongside the format check. Treat the suggestions as prompts rather than instructions: a resume optimised purely for keyword matching reads badly to the human who eventually opens it, and both audiences have to be satisfied.
