Hailo is an Israeli semiconductor company that designs AI processors for edge devices. It was founded in Tel Aviv in February 2017 by Orr Danon, Avi Baum, Hadar Zeitlin, and Rami Feig, and has raised more than $340 million across nine funding rounds, reaching a $1.2 billion valuation.
Rather than targeting cloud data centers, Hailo builds chips meant to run AI inference locally on power- and size-constrained hardware. Its Hailo-8 processor delivers up to 26 tera-operations per second on a chip smaller than a coin, while the newer Hailo-10H module extends this to generative AI and on-device large language model inference, launched commercially in July 2025.
Hailo serves OEMs and device makers in smart cities, automotive, manufacturing, agriculture, and retail who need AI inference without sending data to the cloud, alongside hobbyist and developer access through Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ modules. Pricing is not public for enterprise and OEM deals; the Raspberry Pi bundle is a rare fixed-price entry point at around $130 for the module itself.
