Macaron is a personal AI agent aimed at life outside work. A personality test and a ‘Deep Memory’ layer build a profile of your preferences, and the agent applies it across a set of domestic assistants – personal assistant, life planner, study planner, wardrobe assistant – plus a novel reader and story generation. The company also runs research under the name MindLab.
The positioning is the interesting part. Almost every general assistant is sold on professional productivity, and the domestic equivalent – what to cook, what to wear, how to structure revision, how to plan a month – is genuinely underserved despite being where most people’s unstructured decisions actually sit. A memory layer earns its keep faster here than at work, because personal preferences are stable while work context changes weekly.
Two things hold the rating down. ‘World’s first personal AI agent’ is not true in any sense that survives contact with the last three years of this category, and a first claim that obviously wrong invites doubt about the others. And bundling a library of free calculators – maths, finance, construction – into a personal AI agent is search traffic acquisition rather than product; it has nothing to do with the assistant and its presence says something about where effort is going. No rates are published on the landing page.
