Numra builds AI agents for finance teams that take over repetitive back-office work, routing, processing, and posting transactions across inboxes and financial systems. The Dublin-based company was founded in August 2023, initially under the name Autonifai, by CEO David Kearney and CTO Conor Digan.
The product centers on an AI finance assistant named "Mary," which handles accounts-payable tasks like invoice processing and accounts-receivable work like sales reconciliation and collections, acting inside a company's existing finance systems rather than replacing them. Numra raised a €1.5 million funding round led by Irish VC firm Elkstone, bringing total funding to roughly $1.6 million, and emphasizes demonstrating return on investment with a prospect before finalizing an implementation.
Numra targets finance teams, particularly accounts-payable and accounts-receivable functions, that want to offload routine transaction processing to an AI agent rather than hire additional headcount. The company does not publish self-serve pricing, instead scoping custom implementations for each client through a demo and ROI assessment.
