Panjaya builds generative AI dubbing technology that localizes video into other languages while keeping the original speaker's voice character and facial performance intact. The company was founded in 2021 in Tel Aviv by AI researchers Hilik Shani and Ariel Shalom, with Guy Piekarz, who previously sold a video startup to Apple, serving as CEO.
The core differentiator is Panjaya's proprietary BodyTalk system, which adjusts lip movement and facial expression to match the dubbed language rather than leaving the original mouth movements mismatched, combined with voice cloning that recreates the speaker's tone and cadence in the target language. The platform supports 35 or more languages and is used for product demos, webinars, training content, and serialized entertainment, including a 2026 partnership with Shortical to dub microdramas into six languages.
Panjaya targets media companies, corporate training teams, and marketing departments localizing video at scale, claiming turnaround measured in hours instead of weeks at a fraction of traditional dubbing cost. A free trial covers one minute of lip-synced dubbing, pay-as-you-go credit packs start at $25, and enterprise pricing with advanced editing tools requires contacting sales.
