Personality Forge

Personality Forge is a chatbot-building platform focused on conversational characters rather than business automation – bots with defined personalities, emotional responses and memory of past exchanges.

It predates the current wave of conversational AI by a considerable margin and takes a different approach: authored personality and rule-driven character design rather than a model prompted into a persona. That gives the author far more direct control over how a character behaves, which is the appeal for creative and hobbyist use where consistency matters more than open-ended fluency.

Set expectations accordingly. This will not match a modern LLM on general knowledge or unconstrained conversation. What it offers is authorship – a character that behaves the way you designed it to, every time – plus a community of bot authors that has persisted for years.
