Ribbet.ai runs a set of single-purpose AI photo editing tools directly in the browser: automatic background removal, cartoonize and toonify style filters, object removal, colorize for black-and-white photos, a Deep Dream style effect, face detection, and a clarify-and-upscale tool for low-resolution images. A person uploads an image or picks one of the site’s free stock photos, and the selected effect processes it in a few moments with no account required for the basic tools. The company, Foto Friend Pty Ltd, also runs the longer-established Ribbet.com photo editor, and the site notes its AI tools are being consolidated into that desktop web editor, though every individual tool listed on ribbet.ai still works on its own page as of this review.
Since Ribbet’s AI tools are being folded into the broader Ribbet.com editor, a user relying on one of the standalone ribbet.ai tool pages should expect the URL or interface to eventually change, and should bookmark the main Ribbet.com editor rather than a single tool subpage for long-term use. High-resolution downloads and an API are both described as coming rather than already available, so a workflow needing either should confirm current availability before building around them.
The tools shown on ribbet.ai are free to use. The broader Ribbet.com photo editor it is consolidating into runs its own separate subscription plans for premium features, which are not detailed on the ribbet.ai pages themselves.
