Scale Headshots gives an organization one dashboard to invite every employee to capture their own headshot from a phone or upload an existing photo, design a branded output style with a consistent background, review and approve or request retakes on submissions, and export finished headshots for use anywhere the company needs them, from an intranet directory to a badge system. AI editing replaces manual retouching by automatically applying upscaling, sharpening, lighting and color balance correction and the organization’s chosen style to every real photo submitted, rather than generating a synthetic face. A REST API with webhook notifications connects headshot capture and delivery to a company’s HRIS, CRM, or badge-printing system. The platform grew out of Snapbar, an event photo-activation company founded in 2012, which spun its headshot product into its own dedicated brand; the company states more than 300 organizations, including CVS Health, Intuit, Bain & Company and Databricks, use it.
Because every headshot starts from a real photo of a real employee, the finished result still reflects how that person actually looks rather than a generated likeness, which is worth confirming directly if evaluating this against a fully AI-generated headshot alternative for a different set of tradeoffs. Pricing is per approved headshot rather than a flat subscription, so the total cost for an organization scales with headcount and completion rate, not with how long the account has been active.
Scale Headshots is free to set up, with cost based on approved headshots rather than a monthly fee; each credit covers one approved headshot with up to four retakes. Volume pricing runs from $22.50 per person for 25 to 99 credits down to $17.50 per person for 500 to 999 credits, a 30 percent discount at that scale. Enterprise volume above that range is quoted directly. There is no separate charge for AI editing, upscaling or custom styles, and rejected submissions do not use a credit.
