Silly Robot Cards is a UK service, operated by Gleeboard Ltd, that makes personalised greeting cards with AI. The buyer picks an occasion, uploads photos and shares the person’s interests, and the site generates card designs, including face-swap scenes that turn the recipient into a cover star, champion or main character, plus group cards and T-shirts. The buyer edits a design, adds a message, then either has it printed and posted, with delivery in about 3 working days according to the site, or sends it as an eCard. The homepage cites 10,000+ customers and a 4.4 Trustpilot rating, both shown by the vendor, and says the cards are designed and printed in the UK.
The privacy policy is specific about photos. When an AI feature is used, the text and photos the user selects are sent to contracted AI and image-processing providers, named as OpenAI, Google, Replicate and Cloudinary. Temporary source-photo uploads are scheduled for deletion after 14 days unless still needed, while generated cards, editor documents, public shares and likeness-model data can be kept until the user deletes them or the account. The policy tells users not to upload another person’s photo without permission, which matters because the product exists to put other people’s faces on cards, so get the recipient’s agreement where it matters and be careful with photos of children. The acceptable use policy is general boilerplate last reviewed in February 2023.
Pricing has two parts and no subscription. Design tokens are one-time purchases: 100 for £1, 330 for £3 and 600 for £5, and the page puts 330 tokens at about 22 standard cards or 13 photo cards. Printing is separate: a single card is £3.99, with packs of 10 for £20, 20 for £35, 50 for £75 and 100 for £125, and Royal Mail postage options from £1.50. An eCard needs tokens only. The site mentions a US dollar store, and setting three birthday reminders earns 20% off the next card. Postage prices were shown for Royal Mail services, and the delivery-worldwide claim comes without overseas prices.
