Viesus Cloud is the hosted version of the Viesus image enhancement engine from VIESUS AG of Dielsdorf, Switzerland, a company that builds AI-based enhancement software for print and industrial imaging. It runs AI upscaling, face reconstruction and artifact removal on images and on the images inside PDFs, organises work in folders and exposes the same functions through a full API. The changelog dates the cloud version’s AI upscaling and artifact removal to December 2021, Viesus 11 in October 2024 improved upscaling and face detail, and an August 2025 update added the Basic plan, credit roll-over and per-plan PDF resolution limits. Servers are in Amsterdam and New York.
The terms and FAQ are specific. Uploaded content and outputs are deleted no later than 30 days after processing, a period Enterprise customers can change, inactive accounts may be deleted after six months, the customer keeps ownership of content and output, and Swiss law and arbitration in Zurich apply. The terms say the service is not tailored to rules for special categories of data such as HIPAA, so do not send regulated records. Enhancement adds detail that was not in the original, and face reconstruction can change how a person looks, so enhanced photos should not be used as evidence or for identification. Credits are refunded on request when a result is extremely unsatisfying, through the negative-feedback control, and after a cancellation credits expire at the end of the period unless the plan is downgraded to Basic. The free Try-out plan has 50 credits, described as for a lifetime, and the page advertises 150 extra free credits for new users. Basic is $10 a month for 400 credits, with 200-credit top-ups at $5, roll-over credits and PDFs up to 600 dpi. Business is $90 a month for 5,000 credits, with an auto top-up of 2,500 credits for $33, the fastest processing and PDFs up to 1,200 dpi. Enterprise is custom, with premium support, a private-server option and payment by invoice. Subscriptions renew every 30 days and are paid by card through Stripe, and the page does not state the credit cost of a single image.
