The catalogue is unusually specific, covering buzz cuts, perms, dreadlocks, mullets, pixie cuts, bobs, wolf cuts and undercuts, plus a separate colour changer for blonde, auburn, copper, burgundy, balayage and ombre, and facial-hair filters for beards and moustaches. What makes the result usable rather than uncanny is that the face, clothing and lighting stay put while only the hair changes. There is a free tier, with paid plans from $6.99 a month on annual billing. Two caveats: the monthly rate at $14.99 is more than double the annual equivalent, and results depend heavily on the lighting of the photo you upload.
