Quadratic is a spreadsheet where the cells can hold Python and SQL as well as formulas, connected directly to Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, QuickBooks, Google Analytics and Plaid. Ask a question in plain English and it writes whichever of the three is appropriate.
The export-to-CSV step is what this removes, and that step is where most analysis goes wrong. A spreadsheet built on a CSV pulled last Tuesday is answering last Tuesday’s question, and the reconciliation work when the numbers no longer match the source system is a real recurring cost. A live connection makes the sheet the current answer.
PDF data extraction, charts, scheduled tasks, a spreadsheet API and MCP support round it out, with 250,000 users claimed at Bloomberg, Apple, Google and MIT. Pricing figures are not shown, only a free trial. Python in a spreadsheet is more powerful and less shareable than formulas, and a live database connection inside a sheet is a governance question worth settling before it spreads.
