Overview

Owlity is test automation in three parts. Eye is a desktop recorder that turns a click-through of the application into a repeatable test with no code and no QA background, in under five minutes. Wing runs the whole suite in parallel in the cloud on every commit at a fixed price per run. Mind is the dashboard covering coverage gaps, failure root causes and the path to 95 percent.

Recording rather than writing is the only approach that gets tests written at a company with no QA engineer, which is most of them. The reason automated coverage stays at nothing is never that the team disagrees with it – it is that writing the first test requires a framework decision, a selector strategy and an afternoon, and there is always something shipping. A recorder removes the afternoon.

It hooks into GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Jira and Linear with no configuration, and the company also sells a managed service where its own team builds the suite, citing sixteen years in software quality. Pricing is per run and per expansion with no figures published. Recorded tests break on any UI change, which is the classic weakness of the approach; per-run pricing means a busy repository is a variable bill; and 95 percent coverage is a number, not evidence the right things are tested.
