Anima is a platform for building websites and apps from design context. Its tagline is AI with an eye for design, and the pitch is to give an AI more than a prompt. A user can import a Figma design, clone an existing website, paste an image, or describe a product in the Playground, and Anima produces responsive HTML or React that can be edited, previewed in the browser and exported. The company says the Figma extension has 1.4 million installs and that more than 1.8 million builders have used the product.
The AI side has several entry points. The AI Website Builder and Playground generate from prompts, with a database, authentication and version restore available in the browser build flow. Buddy is a Figma agent, and the Anima MCP server gives AI coding agents access to the app creation environment. The Anima API and SDK automate code generation from Figma designs, website clones or prompts, though access is by request. The site says its engine runs inside Bolt.new and Replit.
A Free plan allows 5 chat messages a day in the Playground, 5 Figma imports or website clones, and 5 code generations in the Figma plugin. Every export, import, clone or MCP call counts as a code generation. Enterprise adds SSO, MFA and service level agreements from $500 a month paid annually.
