Ideamap is a visual brainstorming platform where teams work on an open canvas and call on AI copilots to generate, expand, and organize ideas. Jakob Storjohann, also CEO of idea-management company Ideanote, launched Ideamap in 2023 out of Holte, Denmark, building it as a sibling product to Ideanote's enterprise idea-management platform.
Teams drop a challenge or prompt onto an infinite canvas, and the AI generates related themes, sub-ideas, and connections in under a minute, using GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 for text generation and Stability AI models for illustrative visuals. Rooms support real-time collaboration, so participants add sticky notes, vote, and cluster ideas together rather than merging separate documents after a session.
Ideamap fits product, marketing, and innovation teams running structured brainstorms more than solo note-taking. A free plan covers 5 rooms and 5 attendees per room with limited AI functionality; paid plans start around $7 a month for individuals and roughly $15 a month for fuller AI access and team tools, with custom Enterprise pricing for larger organizations.
