Ayora builds AI software for legal revenue and pricing management. Founded in 2022 by former financier Stefan Ciesla and deeptech specialist Dr. Gordon McKenzie, the London-based company went through Mishcon de Reya's MDR Lab legal-tech incubator on its way to a public launch.
The platform enriches billing and matter data so partners can watch budgets, scope creep, and discounting in real time instead of finding revenue leakage after a matter closes. Ayora's own research puts the scale of the problem at up to 20 percent of potential law firm revenue lost annually to weak pricing and budget discipline, which is the gap the product is built to close.
Ayora is built for mid-size and large law firms and their finance teams rather than solo practitioners. There is no published self-serve pricing; firms work with Ayora's sales team to scope a deployment, and the company raised a $1.6 million pre-seed round in March 2024 led by J12 to fund that go-to-market work.
