Freebeat is an AI music video generation platform founded in 2024 by Bruce Chen, a Stanford-educated former Macquarie banker, alongside co-founders Henry Fan, a former Morgan Stanley vice president, and Richie Liu, a former Baidu engineer. The founding team began building the underlying music-vision model in 2021, three years before formally launching the company.
Users paste a song link from Spotify, YouTube, or TikTok, or upload their own audio, add a text prompt, and Freebeat's AI listens to and interprets the music directly, generating a beat-synced dance video, lyric video, or cinematic visual rather than assembling generic stock-footage clips. The platform has processed more than 1 billion seconds of generated content for over 1 million creators across more than 200 countries.
Freebeat is built for independent musicians, TikTok and Reels creators, and marketers who need music videos without a production budget or video-editing skill. A free plan includes 500 starter credits, with paid tiers starting at Basic for $4.99 per week, then Standard at $9.99/month (3,000 credits) and Pro at $24.99/month (10,000 credits).
