Hippocratic AI, founded in 2023 by serial entrepreneur Munjal Shah, builds patient-facing generative AI agents for non-diagnostic healthcare tasks, things like pre-visit intake, post-discharge follow-up, and chronic-condition check-ins, deliberately keeping prescribing and diagnosis off-limits by design rather than as an afterthought restriction.
That safety-first scoping shows in its operating numbers: in roughly 15 months since commercialization, Hippocratic AI completed more than 115 million clinical patient interactions across 6 countries with no reported safety issues, while building partnerships with more than 50 health systems, payers, and pharmaceutical companies. The company raised a $126 million Series C in November 2025 at a $3.5 billion valuation, led by Avenir Growth with CapitalG, General Catalyst, and Andreessen Horowitz also participating, bringing total funding to $404 million.
Enterprise pricing is negotiated per health system or payer and requires a sales conversation. For a health system or payer that wants patient-facing AI agents handling high-volume, non-diagnostic conversations like intake and follow-up, without the liability of a diagnostic AI, Hippocratic AI's deliberately limited scope addresses that directly.
