Ivy.ai builds AI chat assistants for colleges and universities, with healthcare and government as adjacent sectors. The assistants answer applicant and student questions on admissions, financial aid, registration and campus services from the institution’s own content. In March 2025 Ivy.ai merged with Gravyty alongside Ocelot, another higher-education assistant vendor, and on 27 October 2025 Gravyty launched the combined product as Ivy & Ocelot.
Gravyty’s launch material gives the concrete picture of the combined platform: a hybrid AI trained on more than 15.6 million interactions across more than 1,100 higher-education institutions, answers grounded in verified institutional content from websites and knowledge bases with a refresh every 24 hours, more than 65 curated content packs covering admissions, advising, financial aid and counselling, handoff to staff for complex requests, and channels spanning chat, SMS, WhatsApp, telephony, email and social. Named integrations include student information systems, learning management systems and CRM. Gravyty also markets a no-hallucination guarantee; that is a vendor claim rather than a measured property, so ask how wrong or missing answers are detected and handled.
The main thing to establish is where the product stands after the merger. The ivy.ai site still speaks as Ivy and shows a Gravyty announcement for the combined platform, so confirm which product, contract and support team you would be dealing with, and how existing Ivy deployments map to the new one. Pricing is not published; institutions buy through sales.
