Theneo generates and hosts API documentation designed for two audiences at once: developers and AI agents. It includes an Ask AI bot over your docs, a Swagger editor, changelogs and a developer portal, with an assistant named Elva for making APIs agent-ready.
Treating agents as a documentation audience is a genuinely new requirement rather than a marketing angle. Coding agents now read API docs to work out how to call a service, and they fail on exactly the things human developers route around – implied conventions, examples that omit required headers, error cases described in prose three sections away. Documentation written for both audiences has to be more explicit than documentation written for people, which tends to make it better for people too.
The Ask AI bot over your own documentation is the more immediately practical feature, since it answers the questions your support channel currently absorbs. Generated docs still need review: an assistant answering confidently from incomplete documentation produces confidently incomplete answers.
