Valossa is a Finnish deep-tech company, founded in 2015 and based in Oulu, that builds software to analyze video with computer vision, speech recognition and language models. Its platform generates transcripts, captions, metadata and searchable insights from footage, and the company describes its core product as conversational AI that watches, listens and understands content.
Six named products make up the range. Valossa Assistant is the newest, a conversational interface for asking questions about videos and extracting clips. Transcribe Pro handles video-to-text transcription, captioning and translation. Ad Scout places contextual advertising with brand-safety checks. Auto Preview generates highlight and promotional clips, Moderator detects sensitive content such as violence and explicit material, and Moods analyzes emotion and sentiment. Customers include media companies, broadcasters, advertisers, podcasters and researchers.
Valossa promotes a free-trial signup for its Assistant, but its site publishes no price list and the /pricing path returns a 404, so cost has to be confirmed with the company. The company cites a Gartner Cool Vendor recognition on its own site.
