Finch generates building designs rather than drafting them. A firm encodes its own standards and institutional knowledge once, and every new project starts from those constraints instead of from a blank drawing that somebody then has to check against the same rules by hand.
The exploration side is where the time goes back. Thousands of layout options can be tested against real-time data to compare trade-offs, replacing iteration cycles that normally take weeks. Output includes floor plans, area calculations and BIM geometry rather than images that still need modelling.
It targets architecture practices rather than individuals, and pricing is not published. Encoding a firm’s design system is real setup work before any of the speed arrives, and generated layouts still need an architect’s judgement on everything the constraints do not capture.
