Questas is an editor for interactive fiction. Describe a scene and it generates the image or video to go with it, then a visual editor manages the branching structure underneath, with unlimited paths through a story.
The illustration problem is what has always limited this format. A branching story with forty endings needs forty scenes illustrated, which is why interactive fiction has stayed text-only for decades while the audience for it kept wanting pictures. Generation makes the illustrated version possible for one person.
It comes from Charlie Clark of Liinks, starts with five free credits, then costs $0.10 to $0.20 a credit with 100 credits for $10, or $20 a year for a collection subscription including 200 credits and curated adventures. One credit is one image and five is a video, so a large branching story runs through credits quickly, visual consistency across dozens of generated scenes is the known weak point of this approach, and it is a small independent project rather than a funded platform.
