Lxi is a collaborative canvas for working alongside AI, positioned as an alternative to a linear chat window for tasks like research writing, trip planning and organizing thoughts. It supports real-time collaboration with teammates, drag-and-drop saving of generated content, and function nodes that apply the same prompt across multiple inputs at once, keeping generation in-context rather than requiring switches between a document and a separate chat interface.
Moving away from the linear chat-window format is a genuinely different design bet – a lot of real work (planning, research, drafting) isn’t naturally linear, and a canvas that lets generated content live alongside a growing document, with teammates editing the same space, fits that kind of work better than scrolling back through a chat transcript to find something generated earlier. Function nodes for applying one prompt across multiple inputs also support real batch-style work a chat interface handles awkwardly.
This is an early beta product – no pricing is published yet, and some template placeholder text was still visible on the page checked, both signs of a young product still being finished. Worth trying with that expectation rather than assuming full production polish.
