GitKraken, from Axosoft, LLC (doing business as GitKraken), makes Git tools for developers and engineering leaders. The line includes GitKraken Desktop for Windows, Mac and Linux, GitLens inside IDEs such as VS Code, Cursor and Windsurf, a CLI, an Insights product for engineering metrics, and Kepler, an agent development environment. The company says it is trusted by more than 50 million developers and 100,000 organizations.
The AI features include AI commit messages, AI merge conflict resolution, AI explanations of changes, code suggestions and an MCP server that connects AI assistants to git context. Each plan carries a weekly AI credit allowance: 1,000,000 on Community and Pro, 2,000,000 on Advanced, 3,000,000 on Business and 4,000,000 on Enterprise, with org-level model controls from Advanced upward.
Community is free but limited to public repositories. Pro costs $4.95 per seat a month on annual billing for up to 2 seats, Advanced $12.49 for up to 10 seats, and Business $17.49 for up to 100 seats with multi-domain SSO.
