Mural is an online whiteboard for team workshops, planning and retrospectives. Teams work on a shared canvas with sticky notes, diagrams and templates, and the company now calls it a visual AI platform that connects strategy to execution. It is sold to teams and enterprises, with a free plan for getting started.
Mural AI works on the content of the canvas. It can generate a mind map and expand it, organize sticky notes by topic or other criteria so themes stand out, and summarize the ideas on a canvas. It can categorize sticky notes by sentiment, which helps when sorting feedback, and it drafts ideas, questions, hypotheses and opportunity statements for a team to refine. A Microsoft 365 Copilot integration can summarize the text of a mural. Mural states that it does not use customer content to train machine learning models and that people remain responsible for reviewing AI output.
The Free plan costs $0 for unlimited members with three editable murals at a time. On the US pricing page Team+ is $9.99 per member a month billed annually, or $12 billed monthly, with unlimited murals. Business and Enterprise plans sit above it. Mural AI is included with Team+, Business and Enterprise, not the Free plan.
