Whelp is a help desk for businesses that talk to customers on messaging apps. It pulls WhatsApp, web chat, SMS, email, voice calls, Instagram, Messenger and Telegram into a single shared inbox, with iOS and Android apps for staff. The company is based in New York and is a Meta Business Partner.
Its AI Agents answer customer questions on those channels. They are trained on a company’s FAQs, policies and product catalog, and they can look up orders and bookings so that a reply resolves the request. Whelp says the agents automate up to 60 percent of inquiries, which is its own claim. Below the AI tier there is a flow-based chatbot built with rules, and the Advanced plan adds a dynamic chatbot, comment management, broadcasts and mobile chat SDKs. Integrations named on the site include Shopify, Stripe, Twilio and Salesforce.
The Free plan costs $0 for one seat with the live chat widget, unified inbox and unlimited conversations. On the US pricing page Standard is $29 per seat a month and adds WhatsApp, SMS, email and social channels. Advanced is $79 per seat a month and is the first plan with AI Agents. Premium is custom, with on-premises deployment and white labeling. Annual billing saves 20 percent, and WhatsApp conversation fees are billed separately by Meta.
